After 25 years of dedicated service to Northwest Arkansas’ pet-loving community, DogWatch, the beloved doggie daycare, boarding, and training facility with locations in Fayetteville and Bentonville, has officially been acquired by Pet Resort Hospitality Group.
Founded in 2000 by Hermine and Ric Wilkins, DogWatch has become a trusted name in pet care, known for its high standards, compassionate staff, and strong community ties. The decision to transition the business was not made lightly. For the Wilkins, it was about finding the right partner to uphold their values while helping DogWatch reach new heights. That partner was found in Pet Resort Hospitality Group.
Pet Resort Hospitality Group is a fast-growing organization that partners with leading pet resorts across the country. They are on a mission to elevate the standard of pet care and support passionate pet care entrepreneurs across the country by providing these businesses with operational support. Ultimately, they are helping improve the care of thousands of pets across the country every day.
The sale of DogWatch was facilitated by the team at Resolution Equity Partners (REP), based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Eyal Cohn, Chief Development Officer and Co-Founder of Pet Resort Hospitality Group, thanked Alan Altom, Mark Kincannon, and the entire REP team for their expertise and support throughout the transition. He also expressed that he is excited for the Wilkins to slow down and enjoy the next phase of their life.
After 25 years of building the DogWatch brand, Ric and Hermine Wilkins are eager to enter their next chapter, but Hermine isn’t completely hanging up the leash. She plans to continue being around the animals she adores by remaining involved in dog shows and even the occasional training session for Pet Resort.
